What to fix before putting money into Meta ads

Advertising does not fix a weak offer or a slow website. Here is the list of what to fix first.

Advertising does not fix a weak offer

If the offer cannot stand on its own in a conversation, it will not stand in an ad. Paid traffic amplifies what already exists, including what is not working.

Fix the destination before the creative

Sending paid traffic to a slow, confusing page with no clear path to contact is throwing money away methodically. The destination has to be ready before the first real is spent.

Install and check the measurement

An installed pixel is not the same as working measurement. Check that the events fire, that the conversion that matters is being recorded, and that the number matches the reality of your business.

Define what success looks like before starting

What is the maximum cost per enquiry your business can take? Without that answer, any result looks good in week one and bad in week three.

Have enough creative to test with

One piece is not a test, it is a bet. Go in with at least three different angles on the same offer and let the audience say which works.

Separate acquisition from remarketing

Talking to someone who has never seen you and to someone who already visited your website requires different messages. Mixing the two in one campaign only hides what is really happening.
